Stabilize and go
Trauma and bleeding
Cats walk away from injuries that are still bleeding inside.

Do now
- Towel wrap. Firm pressure on obvious bleeding with a clean cloth.
- Carrier even if the cat “seems fine.”
On the way
- Keep the spine as straight as you reasonably can if a fall or car was involved.
Never
- Tourniquets on a tail or leg unless a veterinarian is talking you through it.
At the hospital
Pain control, imaging, and observation. Walking is not clearance.
High-rise falls, cars, and dog bites cause lung bruises, ruptured bladders, and delayed shock. Informational guidance only. This platform is not a veterinary practice and is not a substitute for licensed, professional veterinary care. If your cat is in distress, seek emergency veterinary care immediately.
